by Ben SummersWe’re now at the stage where more and more people are using OneIS. It’s not quite out of beta, but getting close. So we thought it was about time we launched a blog to give some background about what we’re doing, and discuss some of the issues surrounding OneIS.
Two perspectives, one blog
As with anything we do, there are two angles to this blog: Information Management and IT. Jennifer represents information management, and I will be talking about IT.
Working together, we’ve always been struck by how much there is in common between our professions. After all, there is an ‘I for Information’ in both. But we’ve also noticed how our professional backgrounds can result in us taking very different approaches to the same problem.
What’s needed to really make a difference for our clients is to take the best of both worlds. Take the best that technology can provide in 2008 and beyond, add in solid information management refined over the decades, and apply it to small businesses.
It’s been a fascinating journey to get where we are now, and it’s only going to get more interesting as we continue. I hope you’ll join us on the way.
