First we had the static web, then came the read-write web, now we have the real-time web. Twitter is a way to interact with other people in real-time over the web. Follow our tweets to find out what we’re doing to prepare for the launch of OneIS.

Here’s our simple guide to how you too can start using Twitter:

• go to twitter.com
• sign up for a free account
• start sending updates
• follow others

Advanced Twittering

• reply to other’s Tweets by clicking the reply arrow on the right of a Tweet
• retweet (RT) other’s Tweets you want to share with your followers
• refer to other Twitterers when posting by adding @theirtwittername in your update
• direct message (DM) Twitterers to whom you want to send a private message
• add photos to your Tweets
• Tweet from your mobile phone
• tag your Tweets with #subject
• search twitter at search.twitter.com
• use add-on applications to enhance your Twitter experience such as Mr Tweet, TweetDeck, or TwitterFon.
