In the Information Age, keeping legal with how you obtain, manage and use information is increasingly complex. Professor Charles Oppenheim is a world-class expert on legal information issues. He’ll be clarifying how to stay legal on issues such as:

Charles Oppenheim
Charles Oppenheim was Professor of Information Science at Loughborough University between 1998 and 2009. He was Head of the Department of Information Science between 2006 and 2009. He retired in 2009, and is now Emeritus Professor of Information Science at Loughborough University.
In his past life, he has held a variety of posts in academia and the electronic publishing industry, working for International Thomson, Pergamon and Reuters at various times. He has been involved in, and published widely on legal issues in information work, electronic publishing and other aspects of scholarly communication.
Charles is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. He is one of only three people in the world to have been awarded a higher doctorate in Information Science. He is a member of the Legal Advisory Board of the European Commission. He is a regular contributor to conferences and to the professional and scholarly literature, and is on the editorial board of several professional and learned journals.
