Speakers

Ben Summers

Ben Summers is the co-founder and Technical Director of ONEIS. Ben presented on the design of ONEIS and explained how he built this novel, innovative system. Ben demonstrated building applications on the ONEIS platform, showing how developers can quickly and cost-effectively build sophisticated solutions with ONEIS.

 

Dave Connors

Dave is Project Manager at Ambant, providers of professional consulting, resourcing and broker services to the Lloyd’s, London and International Insurance Markets.

 

Clive Menhinick

Clive Menhinick has over 30 years experience in the IT industry, and is a non-executive director in a wide portfolio of specialist technology companies. Clive shared his experiences of developing a plugin on the ONEIS platform.

 

Chris James

Chris James is Managing Director of Impendulo. Chris talked about his decision to build a tax insurance information portal on ONEIS, and the benefits it has brought his company.

 

Alec Muffett

Alec Muffett is ONEIS’ security advisor. Alec presented on Information Security with plenty of practical advice for small organisations. Alec is a highly regarded blogger, speaker and computer and network security consultant who has been working in that field since 1988. Following a degree in Astronomy at UCL, Alec spent 3 years working at UCW Aberystwyth where he released one of the first practical security tools. In 1992, he joined Sun Microsystems, where he focused on security research and implementing practical security solutions for Sun’s corporate clients.

 

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer is the co-founder and Managing Director of ONEIS. Jennifer described how her Information Management expertise influenced the design of ONEIS, making it easy to find exactly the right information and work effectively with colleagues.

 

David Powell

David Powell is Managing Director of Bellbird English. David presented his learning resource portal, a product built on ONEIS which enables English Language teachers to share resources and improve their teaching.

 

Jack Kreindler

Dr Jack Kreindler is Medical Director of the innovative private medical practice, 76 Harley Street. Jack explained how he uses ONEIS to improve collaboration amongst a dispersed team of medical experts.
